Melanated Youth Market
Black Mothers United-Jacksonville in partnership with Soul Saver presents a premier marketplace experience designed exclusively for our young visionaries. The NextGen Melanated Youth Market is more than just a pop-up, it is an incubator faor talent, a launchpad for business, and a celebration of Black youth excellence. From handmade jewelry and custom apparel to gourmet treats and innovative services, come support 12 select teen vendors as they compete for top honors and showcase their brands to the community. Event Highlights The Marketplace: Shop unique, high-quality products from entrepreneurs aged 12–17. The Young CEO Award: Watch as our vendors compete for a $100 scholarship prize based on branding, customer service, and business pitch. Children's Spanish Class
​Expand Horizons. Build Connection. Empower Our Future. ​ Join us for an intimate, high-energy Spanish language series hosted by Black Mothers United-Jacksonville, partnered with Soul Saver. Over the course of six weekly sessions, we are opening up a home-based classroom designed specifically for Black youth to see themselves in a global context. The Details Duration: 6 Consecutive Weeks Location: Hosted at a private residence (Address provided upon registration) Format: Weekly in-person immersion sessions Class Breakdowns Group A: Los Pequeños (Ages 5–9) Focus: Curiosity & Play In this group, we make Spanish "stick" through movement, music, and storytelling. Children will build a foundational vocabulary including colors, family, and daily feelings, ensuring their first experience with a second language is filled with joy and confidence. Group B: Los LÃderes (Ages 10–12) Focus: Communication & Context Pre-teens will dive deeper into conversational Spanish. We focus on practical phrases, cultural history, and the confidence to speak up. This group prepares students to use Spanish as a superpower in school and their future careers. Why Join Us? Babysitting Business Class
This isn't your average babysitting course. We are turning passion into a professional enterprise. This immersive, two-day certification program is designed specifically for motivated youth who are ready to lead, earn, and build a brand that stands out. Through a blend of high-level safety training and entrepreneurial mentorship, students will transition from "the neighborhood sitter" to a professional business owner. What’s Included Double National Certification: Students will earn their nationally recognized CPR and Babysitting certifications, providing the gold standard in safety and parent peace of mind. Business Mentorship: We’re going beyond the basics. Participants receive direct coaching on how to manage clients, set professional rates, and navigate the world of business leadership. Brand Kit Creation: Every student will walk away with their own custom-designed business cards to start booking clients immediately. Exclusive Market Access: Graduates will be introduced to exclusive local mom groups, giving them a direct line to high-demand networking circles and immediate job opportunities. On-Site Fuel: To keep the momentum going, a packed lunch is provided on-site both days. Students can stay focused, network with their peers, and fuel up without leaving the training facility. Junior CPR Instructor Certification (Ages 17–21)
